1st off I'm a huge fan of Ghost Recon/Graw and still consider them the best modern military sims out there. There was a big leap in game play from the xbox's summit strike to the 360's GRAW series. It added new weapons, game play and the drone, but never lost the fantastic use of teamwork to make a fun game to play. To me the online mutli-player is tops!
I will be looking forward to this new one with open arms and a icthy trigger finger. I don't think we will be disapointed.

A co-op game is only as good as the people you find to play it with. Online games such as MAG and CoD/MW2 are excellent if you can find people that are on the same page as you are and communicate. Mag even rewards players for there teamwork, but I find very few people that talk in the game....much less heal you when your down! When I do find someone in the game with a mic, they are mostly trash talking and swearing like a drunken sailor!
My current favorite co-op game is Borderlands. ...
This has been on my most wanted list since I heard that it was in development. Like the author, I'm a huge fan of the PC battlefield 2 and bought a new computer just to play it online. My only gripe with the PC verision of the game is not being able to use a joypad to fully enjoy it.
After spending countless hours on the xb360/PS3 demo/beta I must say that I haven't been disappointed and looks like it will be the modern military sim to beat sofar this year! This is the type of game ...
Looking forward to playing this one. Thank you Sega for bring this one out to the masses! It's been awhile since Hawx was released and it be nice to have good Modern air combat sim!
I think the xbox could use a game like this! It seems to me to be a cross of Battlefield meets Halo 3 than a star wars title. The questions I have are the cost of playing it ( will it be a subscription like champions online/warcraft ) and of cousre lag issues on 360.
This looks like a cool game and hope they can overcome the current issues and get this game out. Now we need someone to come up with a MMO modern warfare style of game.
I'm really looking forward to this game. I saw the preview for it during the 2009 game awards show and in the trade mags. This game will not be anywhere near the "care Bears" you remember from your youth. It will be more like conker meets dead rising!!! It should be pretty cool!
Did I see the word DEMO in this post? I know its early in the morning ,but I think I saw the word DEMO? After being repeatedly delayed it would be nice to play a demo of it.
I did check with my favorite Game stop and checked that the release date is still on for 4/1/2010. I wonder if they will have a midnight release party setup???
Blaze929: I sure what ever the code reveals,it will be up on the internet before the game is out.
I think i'll pass the TW/PGA '11 up this year. It seems like its the S.O.S.,now bring back the Tiger vision and I may reconsider!
Perhaps EA should go like the Madden route and choose a different golfer to be on the cover each year. I'm up to here ( hand way over head ) with Tiger and his adventures! I never was a big fan of his anyway.
I don't know what platform your playing on but have you tried playing Borderlands? Its the best RPG/FPS hybred that I have ever played. The 4 person co-op is the best gaming time I have spent in a long time.
As you said, its hard find that style of game these days in a me me me world.
I not into the competive playing part of online mutli-player,what I enjoy is getting together with a bunch of friends on a team and having FUN.
What hurts a game for online MP is the game being a glitch fest and becoming unenjoyable. Beta testing is a must these days. It seems like a week doesn't go by that I don't read something about another glitch found in MW2.
With all the beta testing and delay of release ,i'm looking forward to seeing how MAG for the ps3 and Spli...
I was VERY disapointed with SOCOM from back in the PS2 days and the PS has never changed my opinion one bit. As the author said Its to DARK and I have to agree. There are much better games either out there now or coming in the near future.
I guess if your a fan of the game then this add on maybe worth it ,but I'll stick to GRAW,CoD/mw 1&2,and the upcoming MAG and Battlefield/BC2 when playing the PS3.
This thing seems to be DBR ( Dead Before Release! ) Unless I had a T1 line,I doubt this would ever be lag free. This Idea has been tried before and it bombed. Sega and Atari had tried, but never could perfect it.
I think i'll stick to my xbox 360,ps3 and 6 year old PC. Although onlive did have a interesting presentation at last years E3,but after that the info dried up.
Leon: It all boils down to what you like to play and what you like to play it on. I use to love to play games on the PC and still play Motocross Madness 2 and Battlefield 2 on my 5 year old ,then state of the art Gateway PC. BUT,constantly having to upgrade it every time a new game comes out gets old and costs to much $$$.
I prefer my Xbox360 or PS3 for my gaming fix. True ,they may have there drawbacks,BUT theres nothing like playing on a 60 inch HD Monitor !! It surely beats a...
The friends limit question comes up all the time. With the limit set at 100 I feel thats why they added services like twiter and Facebook. Although I don't use them there a nice add on if you do. Now if they could add in Myspace ,then I might be interested.
My way around the 100 friends limit is to go to 1 of my friends and use there friends list to get in touch with someone that I don't regularly play with.
Anyone know what the friends limit is on the PS3?
A GREAT list indeed and still say that 2010 could be the XBox's best year yet.
I will be looking forward to add on DLC for L4D2,Modern Warfare 2,and Forza 3.
My Top games to "must get" for 2010.....
Splinter Cell/conviction
Medal of Honor
Battlefield/BC2
Blur
Split second
True Crime
Fable III
World of Outlaws:sprint cars
Just Cause 2
Naughty Bear
Halo/Reach

I'm 54 years old and love to play video games and have since owning the Bally arcade in the mid seventies! I work 50 hours a week for my local school system and see kids with alot more problems than you could ever imagine. I don't play during the week ( my work load can be at times be heavy ) I don't drink booze,do drugs,or go out and get in trouble.
What I do like to do is play video games like MW2,BF/BC,L4D2,and borderlands on the weekends with people of all ages that are on my...
Thank you for your words of a parent that cares! What irks me is the parents buy a game like Modern Warfare 2 thats rated M for a 9 year old without giving it a second thought,BUT boy can they pitch a fit when that 9 year old gets a 3 day OSS from school when he's caught making gun gestures and verbal threats to other students with his fingers.
SixTen:Your comment is,unfortunately sad but true and unless you want to visit the kid in JDC or jail the rest of his life.We as adults s...
Videogames do not kill people, people play videogames to keep from killing people. As stated in the artical the kid was a "introvert" and more than likely had few friends except the people he played online with. Although I do not condone what he did, after all murder is still a serious crime and feel the kid does have some mental issues.
Counterstrike was for all we know his only social outlet and he was of high intellegence ,but never was able to channel his smarts to anyth...
I agree with you that the future market for modern military simulations is becoming pretty full. Modern warfare 2 has now set the new standered to what is expected. The things that will be what sets a goal for the next wave will be MMO ( like the ps3's upcoming MAG),a decent storyline, and making sure its as bug/glitch free as possable before releasing it by beta testing the heck out of it.
I'm looking forward to MAG, Splinter cell conviction, the new MOH,and now have a new ghost ...
Just because they spent a boat load of money on advertising and had over 1 billion $$$ in sales, does not make it a outstanding game. I hope that they take there "What we learned" additude and put it to use in making the next CoD a bit more glitch free. ( BETA test!?!)
It seems that most of the same issues that made the 1st MW unenjoyable found there way into MW2 to the point of making the mutliplayer VS mode no fun to play unless you to take advantage of the cheats and g...
